Movie Ad of the Week: The Fred Williamson Triple Threat Festival

Here's a Fred Williamson triple feature that played the Loews Teck action theater in downtown Buffalo in 1978. DEATH JOURNEY (1975) and NO WAY BACK (1976) were the first two films in the Jesse Crowder series, while MR. MEAN (1977) was mostly shot in Italy. Fred produced, directed and starred in all three of these films for his Po' Boy Productions company. DEATH JOURNEY is our favorite, but all three include some great music: An instrumental version of "Do It Any Way You Wanna" by The People's Choice (#11 Pop, #1 R&B) gets overplayed in DEATH JOURNEY, while The Dells handle theme song duty for NO WAY BACK and The Ohio Players actually show up in MR. MEAN to perform the title song during the opening credits.
