His meeting with Molly is purely by but his decision to liver with her for a week is a decision he knowingly makes. With Molly he has his first affair, his first drink and his first regrets. Molly, the unbeliever who believes in nothing but herself. She scorns his decision to give his life up for the church. David struggles under her ridicule to retain the determination and conviction he thought he had. Slowly he crumbles, now unsure of why he wants to devote his life to the Priesthood. Then, as if the truth were there all the time, Molly becomes the symbol that drives him on. Now more than ever he is convinced that his original decision and convictions were right for him. Toward the end she pleads with him to stay. But his decision is made. He leaves behind the older woman who gave him a small taste of the lusts and passions of life.

THE STORY OF DAVID KELLER IS A TIMELY ONE. IT ASKS THE VERY SAME QUESTIONS THAT ARE BEING ASKED BY PRIESTS ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Disillusioned and frustrated by his fate, he has a chance meeting with Molly, attractive and old enough to be his mother, and decides to live with her for a while. Here he has his first affair and his first taste of liquor and the lusts and passions of life. There is a lively and entertaining night club sequence. Then comes Molly’s teen-aged daughter and more complications. This is an explosive, controversial action drama of today’s youth and their problems.

RAYMOND WISE plays the title role of David Keller. Mr. Wise, at the grand old age of twenty one, has appeared in over fifty stage plays opposite such stars as George Maharis, George Hamilton, Shirley Jones, Shari Lewis and Janis Paige. This film represents his first motion picture., and as a result has already received acclaim for his performance. If there is to be a successor to Paul Newman, Raymond Wise is it.

SOFIA HALKIAS brings life to the part of Molly Wheeler. Basically from a stage background, Miss Halkias excels on the screen. She gives to Molly a lust for life only an accomplished actress could. I really hope this one turns up soon! I saw an extended clip from the beach/dune buggy scene and it looks pretty wild!

By the way, I love this blog and if not for it, I never would've known the title of this film. The bummer is that like this one, it seems many of the movies I've been after are on the 'endangered list'. :(
