Holy crap, I thought I knew of (though haven't seen) all of William Smith's '70s drive-in movies! I need to see CAMPER JOHN! Didn't know this one existed.

CAMPER JOHN can be found as GENTLE SAVAGE on VHS if you search for it hard enough. It was released by U.S.A. Home Video in one of their big boxes. My (spoiler filled) review can be found here: http://www.critcononline.com/thriller%20part%202.htm#GentleSavage1973

An interesting bit of trivia about CAMPER JOHN: It had a bunch of titles before it was released as CAMPER JOHN, and Gross re-released it as I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE -- the title he later and more infamously gave to Meir Zarchi's DAY OF THE WOMAN.

wow, what was Horrible House on the Hill?! never heard of it. amazing Last House on Left-poster ripoff, down to the fonts--ha!

Kris, THE HORRIBLE HOUSE ON THE HILL is the second title for the movie that is best known as DEVIL TIMES FIVE. Gross/Cinemation first put it out as PEOPLE TOYS, then THE HORRIBLE HOUSE ON THE HILL, and then Seymour Borde & Associates released it as DEVIL TIMES FIVE.
