God, these old Embassy stand-bys were still getting 42nd Street dates in 1978?!
What I'd like to know is who put together that Grease / Breaker! Breaker! combo. Maybe it was intended as a Hers & His double bill.
Our favorite is still the pairing of NORTHVILLE CEMETERY MASSACRE with IN SEARCH OF HISTORIC JESUS at the Lyric in 1980.
Thief of Baghdad?! Really now, could a 1940s adventure film still get a billing in 1978? I'd like to see some picture-proof
Andre, it's the Steve Reeves version of THIEF OF BAGHDAD from 1961, on a double bill with MORGAN THE PIRATE, another Reeves epic. Both were released by Embassy Pictures, which was Avco Embassy by 1978. The double bill next door at the Apollo was also made up of "classic" Embassy releases, as John Charles points out in the comment above.
