My grandfather, who was a very successful business man, invested in getting Ken one of the first camcorders and enabled him to rent a theater in the village, in a basement to show these black and white sketches spoofing commericals and pop culture. My grandfather thought it was ridiculous. Now we can see it was a head of it's time and the forerunner of SNL, including a cast with Chevy Chase!Sherri Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11783574353652499514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29213270.post-22357605541746896012009-06-14T12:20:45.568-04:002009-06-14T12:20:45.568-04:00oh yeah, I remember The Committee, I think their f...oh yeah, I remember The Committee, I think their film was A Session With The Committee--some very funny sketches were in it! ;-)

was one of them Howard Hessman?...Kris Gilpinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12880960466088375243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29213270.post-69314378275707592592009-06-14T03:12:08.860-04:002009-06-14T03:12:08.860-04:00I'd be happy to see this stuff reissued as lon...I'd be happy to see this stuff reissued as long as long as it doesn't involve any further scenes of a naked Buzzy Linhart.Scooter GIngoldnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29213270.post-74226183728158958342009-06-10T20:11:58.570-04:002009-06-10T20:11:58.570-04:00After THE GROOVE TUBE there were a few of these sk...After THE GROOVE TUBE there were a few of these skit comedies released, most of them involving members of comedy troupes like the Ace Trucking Company and The Committee.
