Because the lighting is so lousy in the Temple, we usually photograph our one-sheets outside in natural light. Unfortunately, there's 2 feet of snow on the ground, with no thaw in sight, so we're going to have to do something different with our "One-Sheet of the Week" feature. The way we got around the bad weather bullshit last year: we picked out the sheet we wanted to spotlight from our collection, and then we right-clicked the scan of it from the Wrong Side of the Art. Well, we don't want to do that again this year. We'd rather put up something that can't be found anyplace else on the 'Net, 'cause blowin' your mind with goodies from the archives is what we're all about. So until the weather gets better and we can take our toys outside again, this column will be renamed "Movie Ad of the Week." Cool? We'll put up one or two or a few ads and try to write a couple of sentences about the movies represented. Here goes...
One year before THE PARTRIDGE FAMILY premiered on ABC, Shirley Jones co-starred with Spanish pop singer Raphael in EL GOLFO (1969). Here's the ad for its opening in eleven New York area Spanish-language theaters in September of '69. Never saw it, but we'd like to. Is there an English dub available?

One-Sheet of the Week: SLAVES IN CAGES (1971)
Advertised as being "New from Denmark," this legendary B&D/S&M roughie is actually one of three micro budgeted, non-sync-sound softcore quickies that director Lee Frost and producer Armand Atamian made using short-end scraps of film and then passed off as Danish productions through their Phoenix International Films. Go HERE for more info.
